The Salvation Army 'Restoration' Capital Campaign
Responding Everyday So That Others Receive Assistance That Immediately Offers New hope 

Our Capital Campaign has started!  We will be moving to our new location at 100 N. Ninth Street at the end of the campaign.  Our new building will allow us to increase our homeless shelter, food pantry, social service offices, health clinic, youth programs, senior programs and church.   Below the photo you will find all the improvements in service we will be able to offer the community.  Click here to tell us how you can help us get to our new building! 


This Salvation Army Community Facility will offer:

  • Increased shelter capacity from 36 beds to over 100 beds, including several rooms designed to accomodate homeless families.
  • Up to six ADA compliant bathrooms and showers.
  • Significantly expanded medical services for the homeless and other low income, medically challenged individuals within the community.
  • A much larger Food Pantry to receive and distribute food assistance
  • Increased capacity in the kitchen and dining areas for the feeding programs, thus increasing the number of individuals receiving meals.
  • A new kitchen and additional classroom space for the School for Cooks.
  • A chapel where everyone is welcome and where one’s total needs, spiritual as well as physical, can be met.
  • Community room’s for large group meetings, recreational activities, youth programs, food & toy distribution and other programs.
  • Classrooms for educational programs and group meetings.
  • A computer lab for tutoring, housing and job searches, job training, resume writing, and job placement, including a special program for veterans .
  • A detached garage to safely house the Emergency Disaster Services Canteen.
  • Significantly expanded parking, a portion of which will be converted into a commercial parking lot to generate additional revenues to support the new facility.

The Springfield Adult Rehabilitation Center will also benefit from The Restoration Campaign through:

  • Significant equipment upgrades within the Center’s large kitchen.
  • Expansion and enhancement of the Center’s dormitory.
  • Enhancement of the Center’s Chapel.
